Moon Palace

The Moon Palace was an elegant Chinese restaurant at 2879 Broadway that stood from 1965 to 1991. In Paul Auster's novel of the same name, it becomes a place of meaning and memory for the young narrator Marco Stanley Fogg, who lives in its orbit on the Upper West Side as he grapples with loss, identity, and the vastness of the American landscape.
